My Health and Wellness Goals 2025
Like most women, I struggle to stay on track with my health and wellness goals. By regularly joining in the Wellness Reimagined monthly link up, I’m hoping to keep myself more accountable.
So, here are my health and wellness goals for January 2025 (and the year as a whole).
Exercise more:
- Weekly in studio yoga class for 60 minutes
- Daily walking
- Establish a regular swimming routine
- Take time out every day to boogie in my kitchen to a favourite song
Food:
- Make sure I incorporate a fasting period each day from after my evening meal starting at 7pm, overnight until my breakfast at no earlier than 7am.
- Make sure I eat a healthy breakfast each day. My favourites are overnight oats or chia seed pudding. You can get some of my recipes here:
- Earl Grey & Apple Overnight Oats,
- Pear, Almond and Raspberry Overnight Oats,
- Carrot and Pecan Overnight Oats,
- Breakfast Chia Pudding
Healthy snacking:
This week my morning snack is Banana Bread bites
Lunch:
Reduce what I eat for lunch to one apple, one tomato with maybe some cheese.
My Reasons?
I listened to this podcast by Mel Robbins: Eat this to LOSE fat, Prevent Disease and feel better now with Dr William Li
Other adjustments:
- Overall reduce my portion sizes
- Reduce my alcohol consumption
- Cut chocolate and sweets/candy/lollies
- Stick to healthy food choices – lots of fresh fruit, vegetables with nuts and seeds.
I swear by my weekly meal planning to help me stay on track. I plan all my meals for the week and only purchase my groceries once a week so that I don’t become distracted into buying treats.
You can find out more about my process here.
If you sign up to receive my newsletter HERE you will also receive my free meal planning pack.
This week’s meal plan:
- Sausage Pasta
- Homemade chicken fillet burgers with salad
- Creamy Mushroom chicken with rice and vegetables
- Prosciutto wrapped chicken with salad
- Carbonara Pasta with peas and mushrooms
- Prawn and mushroom risotto
- Teriyaki chicken stir-fry with rice
Ideally, I am hoping the above plan will help me lose a few kilos, but that is not my overriding aim. The primary aim is to feel energised, fit and healthy.
How about you? What are your health and wellness goals for 2025?
Hi Janine, these are all great goals and I enjoy reading about the practices of others in this age group. I’m so glad you’ve joined the linkup and will look forward to seeing how you get on. I’m intrigued by the lunch idea so will look into that link and also the banana bites look good, I’m terrible at snacks. Thanks for joining us and sharing your thoughts.
Thank you for allowing me to join the link up. I agree it is always interesting and inspiring to see what health habits other people have. I’m sure mine will probably fall by the wayside soon but this link up might help keep me accountable
